About Us
Grace Community Presbyterian Church is an inclusive congregation welcoming all people on their faith journey and seeking to provide opportunities for intellectual and spiritual growth.
We extend the hand of Christian hospitality to you and your family. We hope to see you at one of our services, but most of all we hope that you will find meaning and purpose in your worship of God.
When you visit us, please stay after the service for refreshments in the Fellowship Hall so we may meet, and you may visit with some of your neighbors. Grace’s worship service leans toward a traditional liturgy with blended music and inspirational messages that will prepare you to face the coming week.
We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church, USA. Grace Community Presbyterian Church was established in 1995 with a rich history, having merged two long-standing congregations. We are made up of young families, empty-nesters and grandparents. Singles, divorced, and widow(er)s are embraced into our church family. We hope you will visit us and experience Grace’s form of Christian hospitality.
About Our Pastor
I am Rev. Cheryl Edmonds, Pastor of Grace Community Presbyterian Church.
I am married to Rev. Hart Edmonds, the Interim Pastor for Kennedy Heights Presbyterian Church.
We have three of the greatest sons! Of course, a mom would say that! Jason lives in Milwaukee, WI, where he is a Resident in Ophthalmology. Scott lives in Carboro, NC, where he is in graduate school at UNC. Daniel, attends the University of Missouri – Columbia.
I am passionate about helping people of all ages connect with Jesus Christ and Christian community in a way that will lead them into meaningful service. I love all things creative. I especially love it when people bring their creative gifts to worship leadership, even the children and youth.
I have served new church developments in South Carolina and Nebraska and established churches in North Carolina, North Dakota and Missouri. I am a graduate of Miami University and I am glad to be back home in the state where I don’t have to say “Miami of Ohio”. I have a Masters of Divinity degree from Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, NC and I have also studied at St. Mary’s Seminary in Baltimore, MD, and Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. I think the Christian life is a journey of learning and growing that never ends.
I like to hike in the woods and mountains, bike the Little Miami bike trail, work out at the Y, and go on adventures.
I also find a little time for hand crafts, now and then, and lots of books.
We are on a grand adventure here, open to where God is leading us. I hope you will visit and get to know us.
